How quantum mechanics explains global warming – Lieven Scheire

View full lesson:

You’ve probably heard that carbon dioxide is warming the Earth. But how exactly is it doing it? Lieven Scheire uses a rainbow, a light bulb and a bit of quantum physics to describe the science behind global warming.

Im a free living soul and I DONT believe in man made climate change. Agenda 21/2030 fascist globalists: Come to my door and kill me ! I wont consent !

  5. how can dislikers of such educational video exist……….love u ted ed

Disappointing oversimplification aimed at dummies. Gases in the atmosphere also cool the planet significantly, this is the half of the science that the moronic climate alarmists seem to ignore.

  7. John Smith says:

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
VerilyI say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city."

If all of the greenhouse radiation is. being absorbed within about ten feet, how worried should the public be about an additional one part per million per year to the 400 ppm already present? A thicker atmosphere should also reflect more radiation back into space before it can become greenhouse radiation. Incident radiation absorbed higher in the atmosphere should have a cooling effect. The scientists in the 1970's were concerned about global cooling because it had been cooling off for decades according to the original temperature records. Why were the scientists concerned about global cooling if there had been little or no cooling according to the fabricated temperature records now being published by the government?

  9. John Smith says:

Here is some quantum physics for the government to spend billions of dollars on. Xrays are absorbed more by dense objects. Carbon dioxide in the upper atmosphere being denser than air should absorb more Xrays. With the resultant heat absorbed higher in the atmosphere, one might expect this to have a cooling effect on the earth. That is what the real temperature record shows. The cooling trend on the temperature graphs was changed to a warming trend right before the creation of the Chicago Climate Exchange in 2000? How many billions or trillions of dollars did investment bankers lose when the nuclear industry collapsed after Three Mile Island? Why did the price per kilogram of uranium suddenly go from about $10 to near $140 amidst the global warming propoganda?

  10. John Smith says:

Maybe quantum mechanics can explain this.

  11. Last Page says:

Wow… It's just awsm to know how CO¬≤ actually causes global warming…

  12. BR0TH3R TUB3 says:

Who is the animator for this video?

  13. Colleen says:

The music is too distracting to actually learn something

  14. That's a great explanation.. thanks..
